Astrology as Tradition and Technique
Astrology is not a single system, but a lineage of methods developed over centuries.
Hellenistic astrology, the foundation of Western practice, is concerned with fate, timing, and concrete life events. It examines how planetary cycles unfold across the lifespan and how specific periods activate themes such as work, relationships, health, and responsibility.
Modern astrology emerged later, emphasizing psychological insight, inner experience, and personal growth. Rather than replacing earlier techniques, it reframed astrology as a tool for self-awareness.
Both approaches hold value, but they answer different questions.
In my work, I integrate traditional Hellenistic technique with modern interpretive insight. This allows me to assess what is activated, when it is activated, and how it is experienced, offering clarity without reducing the chart to personality traits or vague symbolism.
